Voters in Washington, D.C., have approved the legal use of marijuana for recreational purposes. Supporters of the D.C. marijuana measure had a 65-29.5 percent lead as of 9:09 p.m. ET, with 20,727 voting in favor.

The D.C. case could create friction between the city’s leaders and Congress — particularly if, as many expect, Republicans take control of both chambers. The District’s Initiative 71 includes provisions that allow residents to grow six or fewer marijuana plants in their homes and possess up to 2 ounces of the drug for their own use.

Voters in Guam reportedly legalized medical marijuana use today, and other states, including Alaska, are also taking up the issue. We’ll update this post as more results come in. You can also follow our special coverage at NPR’s Election Party.

Update at 7:06 a.m. ET. Alaska Votes To Legalize:

With 97 percent of precincts reporting, Alaskans have voted to legalize marijuana by a 52 percent to 48 percent margin.

The Anchorage Daily News reports:

“The initiative will not become law until 90 days after the election is certified, which is expected to be in late November. Per the law, the state can then create a marijuana control board — expected to be housed under the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development. That group will then have nine months to craft regulations dealing with how marijuana businesses will operate.

“The initiative was years in the making. Alaska voters considered similar measures in 2000 and 2004. Both failed, though each indicated a measure of support for legalization. Measure 5 in 2000 took 40.9 percent of the vote; Ballot Measure 2 in 2004 gained a few more points, with 44 percent of the electorate voting in favor of it.”

Update at 11:52 p.m. ET: Oregon OKs Legalization

With nearly 65 percent of the vote tallied, Oregon is projected to have approved Measure 91 legalizing recreational use of pot, with nearly 54 percent in favor and 46 percent against.

The Oregon bill gives regulatory control of pot to the state’s liquor control agency. It would also allow Oregon citizens to grow up to four plants at a time.

The state’s legislative revenue office recently estimated that “in fiscal year 2017, the revenue from legal marijuana is expected to be $16.0 million with a lower range of $13.1 million and an upper range of $19.4 million.”

“Marijuana legalization has been a long-standing issue in Oregon,”Oregon Public Broadcasting reports. “In 1986, a failed measure first sought to legalize recreational pot. It was rejected by a large majority of voters.”

Update at 10:45 p.m. ET: Florida Measure Fails

A ballot measure in Florida that would permit the use of medical marijuana has failed to reach the 60 percent mark required for constitutional amendments in the state. Current projections show 58 percent in approval, with 42 percent against.

Evergreen Air Shuts Down Suddenly: CIA Chemtrail Contractor Goes Under

Thank you to ThePeople’sVoice FB:

This to me is very significant. Evergreen Air is the CIA company that has been laying chemtrails all over the Valley of the Sun here in Arizona, and no doubt other places, as well.

For an airline to shut down so suddenly—less than a month’s notice, effective Nov. 29th—is unheard of, isn’t it? And they won’t return calls from the press?

A comment following the original article:

“Do not feel saddened for the business, unless it is for the employees. The business has been mismanaged for at least a decade. As to the abruptness of the closing. The company has been bleeding and playing a shell game for some time.Over the last year employees have been payed up to two weeks late, every paycheck. The local media, newspapers and radio, have not been reporting as they should have.”

Was their insolvency because the cabal is broke and couldn’t pay Evergreen employees—because they went bust at the casino?

They’ve put their own spin on it, of course, but I think it’s joyous news.  This, in conjunction with the Silver Legion Commander’s high spirits after the reptilian capture this week gives me really good vibes. Sounds like the cabal is folding, to me!  I shall be watching our skies.  ~ BP

Breaking news: Evergreen International Airlines reported to be ceasing operations

November 8, 2013

According to a report from a news service in Evergreen International Airlines’ home state of Oregon, the all-cargo carrier has told employees it will end operations within three weeks. The report, in the Yamhill News Register, starts as follows:

“Evergreen International Airlines — key remaining component of Evergreen International Aviation, following the selloff of its helicopter division — has announced to employees by voicemail that it will be closing its doors effective Friday, Nov. 29, according to current and former employees. Calls seeking confirmation from the company were not returned.”

You can read the entire story on the News Register website, at http://newsregister.com/blog?articleTitle=evergreen-to-close-main-air-cargo-arm–1383874950–10208–open-source-blog

Evergreen currently has three 747-400 freighters (one BCF, two BDSFs) but in the past has operated a much larger fleet. Much of its flying was charter service in support of the US military, and as has been widely reported, there has been a sharp drop in demand as the US winds down its military activities.

Best UFO Sightings of October 2013

There are no doubt amazing things happening in our skies these days and nights but it seems no one is going to tell us the whole truth about what is going on.

I always look, but never see any lightships—only a non-stop flow of planes from Sky Harbor, Falcon Field, Scottsdale, and Gateway.

The other night, though, I had just taken a peek at the Pleiadies through the binos and a huge “falling star” shot across the N-NNE sky for a split second.

Remarkable, Close-Up ET Encounters in Oregon on Video [+ audio}

Thanks to Extraterrestrials.ning.com for sharing this great collection. Wow.

This guy is an ET magnet. You’ve got to see this—particularly the video that just says, “Wow”. That says it all.

The first one is an interview with images, the rest are regular videos.

I wonder what they’re doing...

Mojo has established somewhat of a relationship with these visitors and it just goes to show what can happen if you’re open.  ~ BP

INTERVIEW

This presentation is an exclusive phone interview with an incredible UFO-ET experiencer, “Mojo,” currently living in Oregon while filming and interacting with UFOs and ET intelligence in a formerly unprecedented manner.

Although he does not claim to have full, in-depth awareness of their motivation or intent, he openly shares his knowledge and the complexities of his incredible relationship and experiences that he has catalogued during his 200-plus sightings.

The link for the video used as a backdrop for this interview is listed below. In this specific video, a startling element previously unknown to videographer was discovered during digital video analysis–PLEASE WATCH this to the end of the interview. All rights are reserved for the images in this video by WHOTOOKMYMOJO. This video is used with permission.

The object is near ground level less then a few hundred feet upstream from the camera. The craft has been observed in the general vicinity for over 2 years. The surface of the object appears organic and translucent. There appears to be beings of light that self illuminate and move at incredible speeds. In this clip at least two of the beings can be seen. A shorter one on the left and then a taller one that moves to the shorter one very fast. A viewer alerted me to the possible display of affection by the taller ET whom seems to be stroking the head of the shorter one @2:45 mark.

A stationary object is filmed above the trees less then 150 feet away. Part way through the clip I shine the flashlight in the direction of the display to show perspective as lights begin to illuminate and blink in configuration.\

A pinkish hue of lit surface section. Organisms/orbs inside the translucent surface. Dark inward facing protrusions moving quickly around brightest sphere & common in other videos. Other orbs appear to be consuming the energetic self-illuminating sphere. Sharp edge details can be seen on the small white fast blinking orbs. The object is near ground level where other bright spheres provided brilliant illumination in the past.

2013 update: Looking back at this time frame, the beginning of some amazing near ground displays brings back some memories. Many observations later I still feel some of my first hypothesis still hold true. The sphere is in the craft and powering up and beings are connecting with it. Other videos confirm this.

(Original description)The object is located at ground level above the creek and about 250-300 feet away. The camera focuses in on left side where the action begins. One of the lights moves inside and another light illuminates the surface, more lights illuminate to show the organic look of the surface. Finally lights illuminate so brightly inside the craft that I switch the cam off night shot briefly.

Oregon Passes the Monsanto Protection Act

For years Monsanto has been taking farmers to court, claiming that they are growing their “licensed” seed without paying for it and many farmers have gone bankrupt. Few have fought this virulent plague on Humanity and won.

The truth of the matter is that Monsanto’s toxic seed pollinates neighbouring fields and farmers have no control whatsoever over that. It’s the Illuminati plan, and no wonder that farmers worldwide are committing suicide in record numbers.

This killing machine has to stop. They are, without question, getting away with murder. This legislation is a major defeat for The People. We DO NOT agree to be lab rats. ~ BP

This week, Oregon passed SB 633, known by many as the Monsanto Protection Act, in a special legislative session.

The act would prevent local governments from enacting or enforcing any measures which regulate agricultural, flower, nursery and vegetable seeds or their products.  Essentially, it would prevent counties and municipalities from banning GMO crops.  The Oregon Farm Bureau claims that this is because it does not want local governments to be able to elevate some farming practices over others.

The effect of the bill, however, is the elevation of GMO farming over regular farming and organic farming.  Cross pollination of GMO crops to organic crops can lead to contamination of both produce and seeds, leading to massive monetary losses for organic companies and family farms, as well as unreliable organic produce for consumers.  Oregon is the country’s fifth highest organic producer, and is home to some of the country’s main organic seed companies.

gmos

Local governments should be able to protect their constituents from this economic impact, product contamination and, as many believe, health risk.  The Monsanto Protection Act would infringe on the rights of local governments and their constituents.  GMO crops shouldn’t be banned nationally, or even on the state level, but food activists believe that an organic community seeking to prevent Monsanto or another biotech company from moving in and damaging their crops should have this right.

This is made even more important in light of an appeals court ruling last June.  Monsanto had filed 144 patent infringement lawsuits against organic farmers between 1997 and 2010.  It claimed that the farmers had used its seed without paying the required royalties, while the farmers said that their fields were inadvertently contaminated without their knowledge.  Monsanto should probably have paid damages to those farmers, but instead, it sued them for patent infringement and won.

The farmers appealed their case to the Supreme Court in September.  Also in September, the federal “Farmer Assurance Provision,” also referred to as a “Monsanto Protection Act,” expired and was not renewed.  The provision – attached to the March 28 emergency spending bill – prevented the government from halting the sale and planting of GMO seeds while the USDA was in the process of reviewing their safety.  It also, however, offered Monsanto immunity from federal courts with regards to those very experimental crops.

Oregon’s Monsanto Protection Act is not only the latest example of government protection of biotech corporations at the expense of small-scale farmers and individuals.  It also connects with other legal issues and legislation to take away the ability of organic farmers to oppose the company.

The issue of Monsanto is not an illustration of the problems with free markets, it’s an illustration of the problems which arise when corporations and government are too closely connected.

Ben Swann questioned this close connection last week stating, “Monsanto’s influence over food supply is troubling. Their ability to seemingly prevent GMO labeling is also troubling. Their connections with people like Mike Taylor who have the ability to control what does and does not show up on our families tables, sure smells like crony capitalism.” See article here.

40 Tons of GMO Crops TORCHED in America; Media Blackout

no-gmo

Thanks, Patrick.

The People are fighting back. Good for them.

Though the controlled corporate media apparatus is suppressing the story, 40 tons of GMO crops were torched, prompting an FBI investigation. There has been a complete media blackout.  It was only reported locally live on KXL Radio and echoed by the Oregonian, where the ONLY web mention exists, hard to find because the headline wording carefully avoids the most likely keywords for a search.

Here’s what happened — 40 Tons of GMO Sugar Beets were set ablaze in Eastern Oregon. FORTY TONS — the entire acreage of two full fields of crops in the ground were set ablaze over a three night period of time. That means arson.

Evidence is that 6,500 plants were destroyed by hand, one plant at a time. That, in turn, implies a lot of people were involved. Would you want to stick around once a fire was going and wait to be discovered? No, someone (many someones) probably wanted to move as quickly as possible. We are talking about a movement — and this is exactly the kind of retribution that many have warned was coming; when lawmakers and corporations refuse to honor the Constitution and instead engage in ‘legalized’ criminal acts such as enabled by the ‘Monsanto Protection Act.’

More than a decade ago, environmental saboteurs vandalized experimental crops across the country in a revolt against high-tech agriculture. Foes of genetic engineering also struck in 2000, when members of the Earth Liberation Front, with roots in Oregon, set fire to agriculture offices at Michigan State University. ELF’s position was that genetic engineering was “one of the many threats to the natural world as we know it.”

But ELF cells normally come forward immediately to claim responsibility, because to them, its all about publicity to educate the public. Since there has been no statement about the recent arson this may have simply been Oregon farmers who have said, ‘Enough!’ Another clue that this may be the case is that this comes on the heels (two weeks) of Japan’s rejection of the entire Oregon wheat crop for the year (a tremendous financial blow because over 80% of Oregon Wheat is exported) because one report said one field was contaminated with at least ONE GMO plant.

Monsanto Pushes Bizarre Conspiracy Theory to Deflect Blame for GE Wheat Contamination of Commercial Crops

MonsantoNice try, Monsanto. Shows how desperate they are, doesn’t it?

(NaturalNews) There is a grand conspiracy theory at work to destroy the value of U.S. wheat crops, Monsanto recently told mainstream media reporters in a telephone conference. The contaminated GE wheat recently discovered in Oregon didn’t get there by escaping Monsanto’s open-air GMO experiments, the company claims. Instead, they say it might have been put there by a conspiracy of crop criminals who somehow acquired GE wheat from Monsanto’s field trials way back in 2005, then somehow saved it in a way that kept it genetically viable for eight years, then supposedly drove around Oregon for the sole purpose of releasing the GMOs in some farmer’s field that they just hoped the USDA might be someday be testing for GMO contamination.

That’s the far-fetched conspiracy theory now being pushed by Monsanto to explain how commercial wheat crops in Oregon got contaminated with GMOs. It was put forth by Chief Technology Officer Robb Fraley, a Monsanto executive, in a phone call with reporters.

“It seems likely to be a random, isolated occurrence more consistent with the accidental or purposeful mixing of a small amount of seed during the planting, harvesting or during the fallow cycle in an individual field,” Fraley said on the call, making him the first Monsanto executive to publicly admit he is a conspiracy theorist. He goes on to confirm that the company is investigating the possibility of “sabotage” to explain the wheat field contamination.

Did little green men spread Monsanto’s GMO seeds?

There’s only one problem with this bizarre conspiracy theory: No one knew in advance the USDA would be testing that farmer’s wheat field in Oregon. In fact, testing fields for GMO contamination is such a rare thing that the odds of a band of “conspiracy activists” correctly guessing which field was going to be tested by the USDA are at least 10,000 to 1.

To successful pull off this wild conspiracy theory being pushed by Monsanto, activists would have had to contaminate nearly ALL commercial wheat fields with genetically modified seed, and this would have involved a nationwide logistics effort of such magnitude that it would have been impossible to keep it secret. Is Monsanto really suggesting there exists a secret group of hundreds or thousands of activists driving around the country in unmarked vans, flinging Monsanto’s own wheat seeds into commercial wheat fields right at the beginning of planting season?

Or maybe it was pulled off by little green men from outer space, working in cahoots with Bigfoot, Sasquatch and the Loch Ness Monster, who all had a planning meeting in a secret underground base on the moon before deciding to focus all their efforts on embarrassing Monsanto by flinging GE wheat seeds everywhere. When they were finished, they then mutilated a few cattle and ran around conducting anal probes on some farmers just to have a little fun.

Yep, little green men did it. Because aliens hate Monsanto.

I mean, I know JFK wasn’t shot by a lone assassin. The Oklahoma City bombing was a federal operation (www.ANobleLie.com) and 9/11 was engineered and allowed to happen so that America could be stripped of its liberties and placed under a police state surveillance grid. But all those so-called “conspiracy theories” pale in comparison to the far-fetched loony bin theory of Monsanto which claims some underground group of activists has somehow been storing thousands of pounds of Monsanto’s GE wheat seeds since 1995 and has now suddenly started covertly dropping them into farm fields all across the nation. Does Monsanto not get it that anti-GMO activists do NOT want GMO seeds to grow? Planting those seeds in fields all across the country would be the very last thing they’d ever try to do, even if they did have the budgets to bank thousands of pounds of Monsanto seeds in large refrigerators for the last eight years.

The far more likely explanation in all this is that Monsanto’s open-field experiments went awry and GE wheat seeds escaped the fields in ways that Monsanto scientists didn’t anticipate (or didn’t want to anticipate).

Perhaps Monsanto would characterize that as a “conspiracy of Mother Nature.” Maybe insects are conspiring against Monsanto to spread the seeds. Maybe the wind, water and other forces of nature are “co-conspirators,” according to Monsanto.

The real conspiracy is that Monsanto is trying to dominate the global food supply

Or maybe, just maybe, it’s actually Monsanto that’s engaged in a massive conspiracy to try to dominate the global food supply by making sure its seeds genetically contaminate all commercial crop fields across America, allowing the company to sue farmers for the “theft” of intellectual property.

They’ve already done that to a multitude of farmers, by the way, so this isn’t some wild theory… it’s something that Monsanto has already been involved in.

Yep, there is a conspiracy afoot in all this, but it’s not the conspiracy Monsanto wants you to think it is. While the company claims “sabotage” in the Oregon GE wheat fields — possibly by little green men from outer space — the greater truth is that Monsanto is itself a corporation of global sabotage that destroys agriculture, contaminates the planet with genetic pollution, threatens farmers with lawsuits for planting common seeds, and then blames activists when its own dangerous experiments go haywire.
