Did the Bowe Bergdahl Story Get Michael Hastings Killed?

Good question. DID the Bowe Bergdahl story get Michael Hastings killed? Like the writer says in the article below… “If you don’t believe that is possible then you simply have not been paying attention. Our government doesn’t like real investigative reporters who expose the truth.”

I’ve been waiting for more information on the murder of investigative journalist Michael Hastings because we have not yet learned the official truth. A bogus article came out shortly after the car crash saying Hastings had been working on a story about Obama’s birth certificate, so we KNOW it wasn’t about THAT.

If research on that topic got people killed, then Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his men would already be dead, and plenty of others.

The people who are erased are the ones who are bribed or threatened, perhaps like the Director of Health in Honolulu, HI, Loretta Fuddy, who (maybe falsified records?) and authenticated and released Obama’s birth certificate. Funny how she was the only one killed in the convenient little plane crash off Molokai recently, isn’t it? Now she’ll never be able to tell the truth about what transpired.

Oh, but NBC reported she died of heart arrhythmia AFTER the crash, when the first eyewitness reports said she didn’t make it out of the plane with the rest, and we know how good the feds are at creating heart attacks in their victims. But that’s another story.  There’s always more than one yarn to be spun after a witness is offed.

Below is one offering as to why Michael Hastings may have been assassinated to shut him up and end his investigation.  More dots may have been connected with this Bowe Bergdahl event.

There have been many credible reports, from those who were in Afghanistan, which stated clearly that fellow soldiers were under orders of silence in reference to the desertion of Bowe Bergdahl. It is somewhat understandable to be guarded of sensitive information.

However…

If a reporter was able to reach out to those same troops, and get them to break that silence, would that be enough to get such reporter killed?

On June 7, 2012 Michael Hastings had a piece published in Rolling Stone titled America’s Last Prisoner of WarThis was not a fluff piece. It was hard-hitting journalism that was the trademark of Michael Hastings’ reporting. Even back in 2012 Hastings was reporting that Bowe was a deserter and a lot of the stories you have been hearing and reading over the last week stemmed from that ground-breaking account. He was ahead of his time and effectively blew the lid off this story long before it was a story. Here is a brief excerpt from the article, although I would encourage you to read it in full.

The next day, American forces had a chance to free Bowe. The battalion operations officer, call sign GERONIMO 3, met with two tribal elders from the nearby village. The elders had been asked by the Taliban to arrange a trade with U.S. forces. The insurgents wanted 15 of their jailed fighters released, along with an unidentified sum of money, in exchange for Bowe. The officer hedged, unwilling or unable to make such a bargain, and no deal was struck. Instead, the Army ordered all units stationed in the eastern half of Afghanistan – known as RC East, in military jargon – to join the search for Bowe.

On July 4th, the search effort got a break: Bowe was spotted in a village in Ghazni, about 15 miles across the mountains to the west. He was wearing khaki, with a bag covering his head, and he was being driven in a black Toyota Corolla, escorted by three to five motorcycles. But by the time troops arrived to investigate, it was too late. That was the last time that Bowe would be seen until the first propaganda video, released later that month.

Michael Hastings got Bowe Bergdahl’s fellow soldiers to speak upon conditions of anonymity while disobeying the “gag orders” of their superiors.

Many in the alternative media community believe that Michael Hastings did not simply die in a car accident on June 18, 2013. They believe that accident was the result of sabotage. However, the prevalent theory has been that, if he was targeted, it must have had something to do with the NSA. Tim Brown reported back in August of 2013:

Ironically, Hastings had sent the following email to close friends just hours before his death:

“Subject: FBI Investigation, re: NSA -Hey (redacted names) — the Feds are interviewing my “close friends and associates.” Perhaps if the authorities arrive “BuzzFeed GQ,” er HQ, may be wise to immediately request legal counsel before any conversations or interviews about our news gathering practices or related journalism issues. Also: I’m onto a big story, and need to go off the rada[r] for a bit.”

Some have speculated that Hastings’ car was booby trapped due to the numerous explosions. Former counter-terror czar Richard Clarke reacted to the news by telling the Huffington Post that the fatal crash was “consistent with a car cyber attack.”

Even though the FBI was investigating Hastings over his NSA reporting, that was not their only investigation into Michael Hastings. Yesterday Eric Barlow, reporting for wearechange.org, brought to light a scarcely known FBI document that was obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request:

At the time of the story’s publication, the media had all but forgotten about Bergdahl — who was released on Saturday after five years in the hands of the Taliban, in exchange for five Guantanamo prisoners. And, with the exception of some initial chatter, Hastings’ piece, which paints a deeply unflattering picture of Bergdahl’s unit and its leadership, hardly had the impact of some of his other investigations.

But someone did pay attention to it: the FBI.

That, at least, is what was revealed in a heavily redacted document released by the agency following a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request — filed on the day of Hastings’ death — by investigative journalist Jason Leopold and Ryan Shapiro, an MIT doctoral student whom the Justice Department once called the “most prolific” requester of FOIA documents.

For the FBI to launch an investigation into a Rolling Stone article about a military deserter would seem to open up a whole line of potential questions, but it can be simplified with just one.

Why?

These are the things that conspiracy theories are made of. Would this story have been enough to get Michael Hastings silenced permanently? Was it more of a case of Hastings whole body of work? Or was it simply a legitimate car accident?

We will likely never know the answer to these questions and some will say it’s a stretch to even ask them. But you do not get to the truth without asking tough questions. My personal opinion is that this would only be enough if there was something larger that the government was trying to hide. For instance, and I am not stating these as facts, maybe Bergdahl worked for the CIA or maybe he really was working with The Taliban.

Whether the story of Bowe Bergdahl would have been enough to get Michael Hastings killed is certainly debatable. But you can not deny that he was way ahead of everyone else on this story as with many other stories.

This is the same guy who ended the career of General Stanley McChrystal.

In the current political climate I doubt nothing and am surprised by nothing. Could Michael Hastings have been killed by our government to shut him up?

If you don’t believe that is possible then you simply have not been paying attention. Our government doesn’t like real investigative reporters who expose the truth. They prefer the lap-dog media that simply follows the “talking points” and narratives they are given.

Top Ten Reasons Sandy Hook Was an Elaborate Hoax

Most of us who’ve done any research don’t need more evidence; we KNOW it was a carefully planned (but fatally flawed ) Illuminati ploy to get unaware citizens and bleeding hearts to demand gun control so the corrupt, rogue government could disarm Americans.

A secondary purpose was to enable them to more easily manipulate the management of “mentally ill” citizens and relieve us of even more freedom, but it doesn’t end there as you will see if you watch the exceptional documentary below by Sofia Smallstorm, “Unraveling Sandy Hook”.

It adds significantly more ammunition to our battle against the manipulation of  people worldwide by the elite. It’s the most comprehensive production I’ve seen, containing more details I didn’t know, and connecting dots to create the unmistakable REAL picture.

She provides motives and agendas previously unrecognized. How many millions of people did they reel in at Sandy Hook? This ‘operation’ was on a scale most cannot even imagine and the implications are staggering. It was probably planned decades ago. The New York Times, our nation’s newspaper of record (which records the “official history” of the United States), has reported that, with its “final report,” the criminal investigation of Sandy Hook by the State of Connecticut is over. 

Remarkably, the report does not even include the names, the ages or the sex of the alleged victims of the shooting. There is no actual identification of any of the dead. Even the Danbury, CT, Newstimes found it unsatisfying.

And the 52 “autopsy photos” that accompany the report are redacted. The New York Times itself now appears to be responsible for a stunning display of journalistic incompetence on a matter of enormous public concern. 

Anyone with the inclination can comb through hundreds of years of American crime reports and will not find an instance in the which the names, the ages or the sex of the victims is not given–with the exception of victims of sex crimes.  Withholding this information is part of a pattern of deception and deceit that extends to the Clerk of Newtown making secret arrangements with the state legislature to avoid releasing death certificates to the public, attempts to withhold the 911 calls and gag orders imposed upon those responsible for tearing down the building itself:

In a letter accompanying the report, Reuben F. Bradford, the commissioner of the state’s Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, said the names and “contextually identifying information of involved children” were withheld, including descriptions of the children, their clothing and their belongings. “All visual images depicting the deceased have been withheld,” he added, “as well as written descriptions whose disclosure would be highly offensive to a reasonable person and would violate the constitutional rights of the families.”

The commissioner said that balancing the “often competing interests of government transparency and individual privacy has been difficult,” but the situation is completely absurd.  This appears to be only the latest in a series of obscene measures being adopted to conceal from the public that the Sandy Hook “massacre” was in fact an elaborately staged hoax, which no one who takes a serious look at the evidence can reasonably deny because, in view of what we have now proven about the event, no alternative explanation is reasonable.

The basic principle that applies here is inference to the best explanation. Consider the totality of the evidence in this case.  Is the evidence more probable on the hypothesis that Sandy Hook was a real event or that it was instead an exercise (or a “drill”), which was presented as though it had been a real event?  The hypothesis that confers the highest probability on the evidence is the preferable, which, when the evidence has “settled down,” is acceptable as true in the tentative and fallible fashion of science. Here are the “top ten” reasons that support the conclusion that Sandy Hook was staged and not real, where no children or adults appear to have died there.

I don’t understand all the hoopla over Obama’s birth certificate. Romney is not an American citizen—according to Gordon Duff; the Bushes’ real name is Scherff and they are NOT from Texas, and no lawyers are permitted by the Constitution to serve in the government yet it’s all gone by the wayside as the Illuminati shapes their own reality and ours along with it.

They break every law that doesn’t serve them and create new ones that they tell us and allow us to believe apply to us when they don’t, since we, the People of the Republic are not employed by the USA Corporation. It’s all a sham to enslave us and will soon be exposed.

The birth certificate thing is a distraction as far as I am concerned. It’s a shame Hastings died for that, if it’s true. Obama will not be leaving office until it’s time—no matter what is exposed. Michael Hastings’ death DID serve a purpose, however. 

Update:  A wise doctor reblogged this post and his comments indicate he doesn’t believe Hastings’ article was about Obama’s birth certificate, either. That’s old news, and no one is dying over it. The CIA took Hastings out for something much more incriminating to the cabal than that, as we will learn.

Mystery Grows: Journalist Died Prepping Obama Exposé

Major probe tied to agent suspected of sanitizing president’s passport records

NEW YORK – Before his death in a fiery car crash, Michael Hastings was preparing to publish a major investigative piece tied to the undercover agent who is suspected of sanitizing President Obama’s passport records prior to the 2008 presidential election.

The mystery has only deepened since the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office ruled that drugs in his system at the time of the June 18 crash, including amphetamines and marijuana, likely did not contribute to the crash.

Hastings, 33 years old at the time of his death, wrote for Gentleman’s Quarterly, Rolling Stone and Buzzfeed, reporting on national security issues.

His June 2010 article in Rolling Stone featuring remarks highly critical of the Obama administration made by Gen. Stanley McChrystal — then the commander of allied forces in Afghanistan — led to President Obama relieving McChrystal of command.

Reported drug use

The autopsy two months after Hastings’ death found small amounts of amphetamine in his blood, suggesting he may have taken methamphetamine several hours before his death. Traces of marijuana also suggested Hastings had smoked the drug hours before he had taken the methamphetamine.

Hastings died when his Mercedes, traveling at a high rate of speed, crossed into the median on a deserted Highland Avenue at 4:20 a.m. and struck a tree. The automobile burst into flames, charring Hastings’ body so badly that it took several days to make a positive identification.

Los Angeles newspapers have suggested Hastings had become obsessed with Edward Snowden’s revelations about the National Security Agency’s massive domestic surveillance capabilities and with disclosures the Department of Justice had obtained of the phone records of Associated Press reporters.

His fiancée, Jordanna Thigpen, told the LA Weekly that just before his death, Hastings’ behavior had become erratic because of his increasing concern that helicopters commonly seen in the Hollywood Hills were spying on him and that his Mercedes had been tampered with.

“He was scared, and he wanted to leave town,” Thigpen told the newspaper.

She recalled that the night before his death, Hastings asked Thigpen if he could borrow her Volvo because he was afraid to drive his own car.

Fox News reported family members told investigators that Hastings, who supposedly had been “sober” for 14 years, had begun using drugs the month before his death. The drugs included the hallucinogenic DMT, although it was not detected in a blood report conducted after the crash.

Fox News further reported a family member told investigators Hastings was seen passed out at home about three hours before the crash and that he had been smoking marijuana the night of the crash.

Investigators told Fox News that Hastings was found after the crash with a medicinal marijuana identity card in his wallet and that he apparently was using the drug to ease post-traumatic stress disorder experienced after his assignments in Afghanistan and Iraq.

A security video that captured Hastings’ car crash showed a flash of light before the car hit the tree, raising suspicions Hastings’ death may have been caused by an explosion.

San Diego 6 News has reported that a witness in a nearby business is claiming the explosion occurred before Hastings’ car hit the tree. An explosion before impact, which would slow down the vehicle, would explain the minimal damage observed on the palm tree. Other physical evidence at the crash site also is not consistent with a high-speed, out-of-control impact.

Brennan and the CIA

On Aug. 12, Kimberly Dvorak reported for San Diego 6 News that Hastings at the time of his death was working on an exposé on CIA director John Brennan.

In July, a source provided the station with an email hacked from “super secret CIA contractor” Stratfor’s President Fred Burton and subsequently posted on WikiLeaks that suggested Brennan was in charge of the Obama administration’s surveillance of investigative journalists.

Though rumors persist that Hastings was near completion of a new exposè on Brennan to be published shortly in Rolling Stone, the magazine so far has not published any such piece.

Obama’s passport records sanitized

WND has previously reported that Brennan played a controversial role in what many suspect was an effort to sanitize Obama’s passport records prior to the 2008 presidential election.

On March 21, 2008, during the 2008 presidential campaign, two unnamed contract employees for the State Department were fired and a third unnamed State Department contract employee was disciplined for breaching the passport file of Democratic presidential candidate and then-senator Barack Obama.

The Washington Times on March 20, 2008, noted that all three had used their authorized computer network access to look up and read Obama’s records within the State Department’s consular affairs section that “possesses and stores passport information.”

Contacted by the newspaper, State Department spokesman Sean McCormick attributed the violations to non-political motivations, stressing that the three individuals involved “did not appear to be seeking information on behalf of any political candidate or party.”

“As far as we can tell, in each of the three cases, it was imprudent curiosity,” McCormick told the Washington Times.

Exactly how the State Department came to that conclusion, McCormick did not disclose.

By the next day, the story had changed.

The New York Times reported March 21, 2008, that the security breach had involved unauthorized searches of the passport records not just of Obama, but also of then-presidential contenders Sens. John McCain and Hillary Clinton.

Again, the New York Times attributed the breaches to “garden-variety snooping by idle employees” that was “not politically motivated.”

Like the Washington Times, the New York Times gave no explanation to back up its assertion that the breaches were attributable to non-political malfeasance.

Still, the New York Times report said then-Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice had spent Friday morning calling all three presidential candidates. Rice had told Obama that she was sorry for the violation. She said she “told him that I myself would be very disturbed if I learned that somebody had looked into my passport file.”

The newspaper quoted Obama saying he appreciated the apology but that he expected the passport situation “to be investigated diligently and openly.”

According to the New York Times report, Obama’s tone of concern was obvious.

“One of the things that the American people count on in their interactions with any level of government is that if they have to disclose personal information, that is going to stay personal and stay private,” Obama told reporters. “And when you have not just one, but a series of attempts to tap into people’s personal records, that’s a problem, not just for me, but for how our government is functioning.”

The New York Times noted that the files examined were likely to contain sensitive personal information, including Social Security numbers, addresses and dates of birth as well as passport applications and other biographical information that would pertain to U.S. citizenship. Only at the end of the article did the paper note that State Department spokesman McCormick had emphasized the most egregious violation appeared to have been made against Obama.

Obama was the only one of the three presidential candidates involved who had his passport file breached on three separate occasions. The first occurred Jan. 9, 2008, followed by separate violations Feb. 21 and March 14. Moreover, all three of the offending employees had breached Obama’s files, while the passport files of McCain and Clinton had been breached each only once.

The Brennan connection

The New York Times noted the two offending State Department contract employees who were fired had worked for Stanley Inc., a company based in Arlington, Va., while the reprimanded worker continued to be employed by the Analysis Corporation of McLean, Va.

The newspaper gave no background on either corporation other than to note that Stanley Inc. did “computer work for the government.”

John Brennan was sworn in as CIA director in March

At that time, Stanley Inc. was a 3,500-person technology firm that had just won a $570 million contract to provide computer-related passport services to the State Department, headed by Brennan, who then serving as an adviser on intelligence and foreign policy to Obama’s presidential campaign.

By Saturday, March 22, 2008, the Washington Times reported that the State Department investigation had focused on the contract worker for the Analysis Corporation, because he was the only one of the three involved in breaching the passport records of both Sens. Obama and McCain, the two presidential candidates whose eligibility as “natural born” citizens under Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution were in question.

Consistent with the claim that the motive for the passport breach merely was mischief, the three State Department contract employees received relatively light penalties. Two were fired and one was reprimanded.

Although at the time the State Department promised a full-scale investigation, the public was kept in the dark.

In July 2008, the State Department’s Office of Inspector General issued a 104-page investigative report on the passport breach incidents, stamped “Sensitive But Unclassified.” The document was so heavily redacted, it was nearly worthless to the public. Scores of passages were blacked out entirely, including one sequence of 29 consecutive pages that were each obliterated by a solid black box that made impossible the determination even of paragraph structures.

One investigative reporter, Kenneth Timmerman, said a well-placed but unnamed source told him that the real point of the passport breaches was to cauterize the Obama file, removing from it any information that could prove damaging to his presidential eligibility.

According to this theory, the breaches of McCain’s and Clinton’s files were done for misdirection purposes, to create confusion and to suggest the motives of the perpetrators were attributable entirely to innocent curiosity.

Don’t Think Your Car Can Be Hacked? Watch This [video]

If the military can remote control drones, of course someone can hack our cars.

If OnStar can be right there with us in our truck, having a conversation, tracking our location and unlocking our doors from thousands of miles away, of course the capability is there for someone other than us to gain control of our vehicles, but rather than simply TELL people that the feds can do this, a couple of researchers with a grant from the Pentagon did some experiments on just what can be done remotely to a newer model. See the results for yourself in the video below.

This technology is no accident and begs the question: Who, other than the military, would ever want or need to take control of a vehicle that doesn’t belong to them and kill or maim the occupants? It’s always the same answer. The llluminati—and it’s part of their long-range plan.

Did they share this information with us openly? No, it was leaked out gradually by other parties, and they’ve used this technology many times. The U.S. military industrial complex is decades ahead technologically speaking than they have allowed us to know, as many whistleblowers have warned us.

Big Brother is like Visa: they’re everywhere we want to be. This cyber hacking is the ideal way to deal with pesky journalists, whistleblowers and dissidents where no proof of the perpetrators can be found. This technology is, quite literally, child’s play for those who wish to control us.

The experiment was the product of Forbes reporter Andy Greenberg, who wanted to see just how vulnerable cars are to hacking by Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek, two researchers who received an $80,000 grant from the Pentagon’s research wing, DARPA, to study such vulnerabilities. The scary answer — shown in a video report — to how vulnerable is “very.”

Take for example that Miller, while plugged into the car’s computer system in the back seat — could do things like change how much fuel the car appears to have, alter the speedometer reading, actually turn the steering wheel, honk the horn, and even mess with the brakes:

Greenberg describes the capabilities of the hackers this way [emphasis added]:

As I drove their vehicles for more than an hour, Miller and Valasek showed that they’ve reverse-engineered enough of the software of the Escape and the Toyota Prius (both the 2010 model) to demonstrate a range of nasty surprises: everything from annoyances like uncontrollably blasting the horn to serious hazards like slamming on the Prius’ brakes at high speeds. They sent commands from their laptops that killed power steering, spoofed the GPS and made pathological liars out of speedometers and odometers. Finally they directed me out to a country road, where Valasek showed that he could violently jerk the Prius’ steering at any speed, threatening to send us into a cornfield or a head-on collision.

“It’s quite terrifying when you don’t have brakes, right?” Miller jokes at one point. He then proceeds to turn them off, sending the car into the weeds.

“That’s the attack that crashed me into my garage,” Valasek admits.

“When you lose faith that a car will do what you tell it to do, it really changes your whole view of how the thing works,” Miller tells Greenberg. Here’s the video:

Miller is a 40-year-old security engineer at Twitter and Valasek is the 31-year-old director of security intelligence at IOActive, a consulting firm in Seattle. The duo plans on releasing their findings at the Defcon hacker conference in Las Vegas, August 1-4.

And don’t think that just because the duo hacked the controls while physically in the car that you should feel safe. Prior research has shown wireless access is as easy as using a car’s CD player [emphasis added]:

But Miller and Valasek’s work assumed physical access to the cars’ computers for a reason: Gaining wireless access to a car’s network is old news. A team of researchers at the University of Washington and the University of California, San Diego, experimenting on a sedan from an unnamed company in 2010, found that they could wirelessly penetrate the same critical systems Miller and Valasek targeted using the car’s OnStar-like cellular connection, Bluetooth bugs, a rogue Android app that synched with the car’s network from the driver’s smartphone or even a malicious audio file on a CD in the car’s stereo system.

“Academics have shown you can get remote code execution,” Valasek, told Greenberg. “We showed you can do a lot of crazy things once you’re inside.”

The capability comes at a time when some are theorizing the car-accident death of journalist Michael Hastings is suspicious. Hastings is the former Rolling Stone reporter who died in a fiery car wreck this summer after apparently sending an email that he was working on a big story. He is also the journalist whose reporting led to the resignation of Gen. Stanley McChrystal.

To be clear, neither Forbes nor the researchers insinuated their work could explain the crash. But many will certainly find it interesting.

“Imagine you’re driving down a highway at 80 ,” Valasek tells Greenberg in his report. “You’re going into the car next to you or into oncoming traffic. That’s going to be bad times.”

Witness: Michael Hastings Feared His Car was Tampered with Just Before His Death

A new witness has come forward saying that Michael Hastings voiced concerns that his car had been tampered with the day before the crash

The evidence of foul play in the death of Michael Hastings has been piling up since the incident happened, and now another witness is stepping forward to tell about Michael’s fear that someone had been tampering with his car.

This conversation was had just one day before his death, and to make matters even more strange, it was also recently discovered that the feds visited Hasting’s home the day before the crash as well.

LA Weekly reported that:

Helicopters often circle over the hills, but Hastings believed there were more of them around whenever he was at home, keeping an eye on him. He came to believe his Mercedes was being tampered with. “Nothing I could say could console him,” Thigpen says.

One night in June, he came to Thigpen’s apartment after midnight and urgently asked to borrow her Volvo. He said he was afraid to drive his own car. She declined, telling him her car was having mechanical problems.

“He was scared, and he wanted to leave town,” she says.

The next day, around 11:15 a.m., she got a call from her landlord, who told her Hastings had died early that morning. His car had crashed into a palm tree at 75 mph and exploded in a ball of fire.

With the evidence of foul play mounting up the mainstream media has went into damage control, even claiming that Hastings was a drug addict just to smear his name.

As Shepard Ambellas asked yesterday, Was Michael Hastings killed by  ”the powers that be”, and then demonized by the mainstream media as a cover?
