Over 100,000 Homeless People Have Been Moved Into Homes & It Isn’t Stopping There! One Of The Most Profound Movements Ever!

This operation is ongoing in the USA, website here, not Canada (at least yet)—but we don’t expect approval from the anti-socialist Americans who insist that every man, woman and child must work their asses off to DESERVE anything at all—and NO HANDOUTS permitted—even for those who have been trying to get a job for 5 years.

They still think destitute people caused this problem for themselves. They have no idea of the planning and execution that went into this take-down of America.

Not every soul recognizes that “we’re all One” and must care for each other, but thank you for setting this wonderful example. And thank you Joy, for this article that warms the cockles o’ me ‘eart.

And yes, JP Morgan is a sponsor, so it’s the least the banksters can do after all the money and homes they stole from so many citizens, putting families on the street.  They are doing a major PR campaign here, and most won’t understand the irony of it.

Whether you live in a major metropolis or a small town, chances are you’ve seen homeless people sleeping or wandering the streets at some point. On those cold and ruthless winter nights I can’t help but feel compassion and misery for anyone who doesn’t have warm food, clothing, or a bed to help ease the sub-zero temperatures.

In Canada alone it is estimated that at least 200,000 experience homelessness in a year. This number is substantiated by an even larger number of homeless people in the United States, coming in at an unsettling 1.7 million. One can’t help but ask ourselves the daunting question, “what can I do to help?”

A Backwards Solution

Enter 100k Homes. Sparked by the belief that conventional homelessness interventions were not working efficiently enough, 100k Homes is bringing a backwards-considered approach to solving the homelessness crisis.

For years, homeless service providers worked to offer…

Massive Austerity Protests in London, UK—But Not a Word in the Lamestream? [video]

Thanks for the heads up, Joy!

(Gotta love those giant scissors. Wish people would spell-check, though.)

Tens of thousands protesting not reported? There’s a shocker, eh? The press not covering huge protests—that’s SOP now in the UK and USA, isn’t it?

You see, America? This is how it’s done. Get off your knees and take your country back!

‘Operation: American Spring’ organized the ideal, peaceful protest in Washington beginning May 16th to remove the government and wake people up and what happened? Most slept through it—again.

What will it take, America?  What will it take? When will you join your brothers-in-arms and fight for what is yours—for what has been stripped from you while you slept?

I’m afraid it will take more of the middle class to be starving, unable to afford power or heat, living on the street, their funds stolen from the banks, children ripped from the arms of their parents, for unemployment rates to be 40 per cent, and for war and carnage to come to their streets—the things people in other countries have suffered.

Interesting times, these. Good for the Brits—and The Guardian! Especially durin the FIFA World Cup. I’m sure a fair number were sat in front of the telly for that but they still managed to pull off a good showing.

And Russell Brand has done a dynamite job of stirring the pot and getting the Brits to wake up and take action.  Can we get one of those? Jim Carrey—oh, he’s Canadian, and George Carlin is dead. Well, that explains it.  Any takers?

It seems comedians are best at getting people to realize what’s going on in their country—but no one takes them seriously! Go figure.  ~ BP

Tens of thousands march in London against coalition’s austerity measures

An estimated 50,000 people in London addressed by speakers, including Russell Brand, after People’s Assembly march

Tens of thousands of people marched through central London on Saturday afternoon in protest at austerity measures introduced by the coalition government. The demonstrators gathered before the Houses of Parliament, where they were addressed by speakers, including comedians Russell Brand and Mark Steel.

An estimated 50,000 people marched from the BBC’s New Broadcasting House in central London to Westminster.

“The people of this building [the House of Commons] generally speaking do not represent us, they represent their friends in big business. It’s time for us to take back our power,” said Brand.

“This will be a peaceful, effortless, joyful revolution and I’m very grateful to be involved in the People’s Assembly.”

“Power isn’t there, it is here, within us,” he added. “The revolution that’s required isn’t a revolution of radical ideas, but the implementation of ideas we already have.”

A spokesman for the People’s Assembly, which organised the march, said the turnout was “testament to the level of anger there is at the moment”.

He said that Saturday’s action was “just the start”, with a second march planned for October in conjunction with the Trades Union Congress, as well as strike action expected next month.

People’s Assembly spokesman Clare Solomon said: “It is essential for the welfare of millions of people that we stop austerity and halt this coalition government dead in its tracks before it does lasting damage to people’s lives and our public services.”

Sam Fairburn, the group’s national secretary, added: “Cuts are killing people and destroying cherished public services which have served generations.”

Activists from the Stop The War Coalition and CND also joined the demonstration.

The crowds heard speeches at Parliament Square from People’s Assembly supporters, including Caroline Lucas MP and journalist Owen Jones. Addressing the marchers, Jones said: “Who is really responsible for the mess this country is in? Is it the Polish fruit pickers or the Nigerian nurses? Or is it the bankers who plunged it into economic disaster – or the tax avoiders? It is selective anger.”

He added: “The Conservatives are using the crisis to push policies they have always supported. For example, the sell-off of the NHS. They have built a country in which most people who are in poverty are also in work.”

The People’s Assembly was set up with an open letter to the Guardian in February 2013. Signatories to letter included Tony Benn, who died in March this year, journalist John Pilger and filmmaker Ken Loach.

In the letter, they wrote: “This is a call to all those millions of people in Britain who face an impoverished and uncertain year as their wages, jobs, conditions and welfare provision come under renewed attack by the government.

“The assembly will provide a national forum for anti-austerity views which, while increasingly popular, are barely represented in parliament.”

The Metropolitan police refused to provide an estimate. A police spokesman said the force had received no reports of arrests.

A spokesman for the prime minister declined to comment.

Wikileaks Next Installment: The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) [video]

I missed this back in mid-November.  The TPP has been on “our” radar for some time, and they always negotiate in private; utter secrecy, so we know it’s bad news for The People.

If you don’t know what it is—better watch this video.  It must be stopped.  ~ BP

Mike Papantonio, Ring of Fire Radio joins Thom Hartmann. Wikileaks has released another bombshell – this time publishing a portion of text from the secretly negotiated Trans Pacific Partnership. Now that the text is out in the open – will lawmakers in Washington finally realize how devastating the TPP is to the American economy?

Government Shutdown Won’t Actually Shut Down the Government [video]

See? PsyOp.  ~ BP

It turns out that the ominous “government shut down” isn’t so apocalyptic after all since it won’t actually shut down government because the vast majority of federal services and activity will continue as normal.  In addition, the same thing has happened – without dire consequences – no less than 17 times over the past three decades.

The dispute over Obamacare means it is “99.9%” certain that the US government will “shut down” on October 1st because lawmakers have failed to pass legislation that will authorize the government to spend money to fund its operations from the beginning of the new fiscal year.

However, as the Washington Post highlights, the same “shut down” has occurred 17 times since 1977. Most of the previous shut downs lasted from a few hours to a few days. The longest ran for 21 days from December ’96 to January ’97 during the presidency of Bill Clinton.

Obama supporters and Democrats have attempted to portray a potential government shut down as something approaching a doomsday scenario, most notably Democratic Senator Tom Harkin, who hyped the prospect of it “as dangerous as the breakup of the Union before the Civil War.”

In reality, key functions of the government will continue to operate as before even in the event of a “shut down”.

– Federal air traffic controllers will continue to monitor take offs and landings;

– The TSA will still be screening passengers in US airports;

– The US military will stay on duty and many credit unions and banks will cover their Oct. 15 paychecks if they are delayed;

– Embassies and consulates overseas will continue to provide services to American citizens;

– The mail will continue to be delivered;

– Federal courts will continue to operate;

– The US Supreme Court will continue to operate as normal when it resumes on October 7;

– Taxes will continue to be collected;

– Sales taxes will continue to be collected

– Garbage will continue to be collected;

– Visa services for people traveling to the United States will continue to operate;

– US passport applications will continue to be processed normally;

– Green card applications will continue to be processed normally;

– Social Security and Medicare benefits will continue to operate normally;

– The vast majority of Homeland Security employees will stay on the job;

– The vast majority of Coast Guard employees will stay on the job;

– The vast majority of Border Patrol agents will stay on the job;

– The vast majority of Secret Service personnel and other law enforcement agents and officers will stay on the job;

– Schools will stay open;

– The National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center will continue to issue natural disaster warnings and track storms;

– The Mars Rover will continue to explore the red planet and the International Space Station will continue to operate;

– The District of Columbia passed a $144m contingency fund on Friday to ensure all its services would continue to operate normally;

– Most services managed by the Department of Veterans Affairs will continue.

The most damaging consequence of a government shut down will be that non-essential federal employees will be furloughed (given temporary unpaid leave) and see their paychecks delayed. That’s a bummer if you work for the government, but it’s hardly a doomsday scenario.

In addition, previous “government shut downs” have not caused any kind of sustained panic in the financial markets.

As Ron Paul writes today, “Despite all the hand-wringing heard in DC, a short-term government shut down (which doesn’t actually shut down the government) will not cause the country to collapse.”

Indeed, all the hype about civil wars and doomsday scenarios if the Obama administration doesn’t get its way on Obamacare and force Republicans to cave on legislation to fund the government sounds an awful lot like the brazenly alarmist rhetoric about martial law and a new great depression that was used to ram through the 2008 bailout.

Applause to Sears for Christmas

from Drake…

Sears  – Christmas  shopping this year.

I know I  needed this reminder, since Sears isn’t always my  first choice.  It’s amazing  when you think of how long the war has lasted and  Sears hasn’t withdrawn from their commitment. Could  we each buy at least one thing at Sears this  year?

What commitment  you say?

How does  Sears treat its employees who are serving in our military?  By law , they are  required to hold their jobs open and available, but  nothing more. Usually, people take a big pay cut and  lose benefits as a result of being on active duty.

Sears is  voluntarily  paying the  difference in salaries and maintaining all benefits,  including medical insurance and bonus programs, for  all employees who are serving.

I submit that Sears is an exemplary corporate citizen and should be recognized for its contribution. I  suggest we all shop at Sears at least once this  year.   Be sure to find a manager to tell them why we are there so the  company gets the positive reinforcement and  feedback it well deserves.

Pass it on.

I decided to check this before I sent it forward. So I sent the following e-mail to the Sears Customer  Service Department:

I received this  e-mail and I would like to know if it is true. If it  is, the Internet may have just become one very good  source of advertisement for your  company. I know I would go out of my way to buy  products from Sears instead of another store for a  like item, even if it’s cheaper at that  store.

This is their answer to my e-mail:

Dear  Customer:
Thank you for contacting Sears.
The  information is factual. We appreciate your positive feedback.  Sears regards service to our country as one of the greatest sacrifices our men and women can make. This is the “least” we can do for them.

We are happy  to do our part to lessen the burden they bear at  this time.

Please pass this  on . Sears  needs to be recognized for this outstanding contribution and we need to show them as  Americans, we do appreciate what they are  doing for  our Military!!!
