Fair and Balanced or Corporate Bought and Paid For?

Former Fox News reports Jane Akre and Steve Wilson were fired from the network after putting together a major investigative report exposing the dangers of a Bovine Growth Hormone made by Monsanto and then refusing to censor the report.

The research in the investigation documented potential health and safety dangers caused by drinking milk treated with Monsanto’s synthetic hormone.

Fox News, after receiving a disgusting legal threat from Monsanto lawyers, then demanded the reporters censor the content, tried to buy them out, then demanded they re write the story with lawyers behind their backs.

In one of the meetings with the Fox News Florida head, Steve Wilson was told: “We just paid 3 billion dollars for these television stations, we will tell you what the news is, the news is what we say it is.”

After a long drawn out legal battle which the reporters originally won, a judge ended up throwing out the case due to the fact that it is not actually illegal to purposefully lie on TV.

This story is a perfect example of the corrupt connections between dominant corporations and the so called mainstream media.
